Europarunt.se is the market-leading reseller of Interrail passes in Sweden and Norway.

In August 2022 the right-wing political party SD posted a tweet with the caption "Welcome to the return migration train. You hold a one-way ticket. Next stop, Kabul". The tweet received a lot of attention in Swedish media.

At the same time, a Snälltåg branded by Europarunt.se and their 50th anniversary of Interrail was rolling on the tracks between Berlin - Stockholm.

We decided to create a rapid-response tweet, highlighting a more welcoming message based on the Interrail values.

"Welcome to the Europarunt-train. You hold an Interrail ticket. Next stop, culture exchange, diversity, and peace. For 50 years, Interrail has stood for unlimited travel in 33 countries and promotes openness, freedom, and friendships".

The campaign was published on Twitter the following day after the original post and received great feedback on social media. To reach a bigger audience we printed a full-page ad in Svenska Dagbladet.

The campaign won the first prize in the category Best European Travel Campaign 2022 at the European Travel Commission Award ceremony held in Prague.

Europarunt.se is the market-leading reseller of Interrail passes in Sweden and Norway.

Together with Sweet Creatives, our goal was to increase sales in the Nordics, and the results have been nothing short of remarkable. Within the first two years of launch, sales in Sweden rose by 100%, and by 80% in Norway during the first year.

Despite the challenging business environment of recent years, Europarunt.se has continuously strived to enhance the passenger experience. We have recently launched e-tickets across Europe, and to spread the message, we created an engaging commercial for Europarunt.se & Europarundt.no. As part of my role, I was responsible for the planning, art direction on set, and post-production of digital formats for the campaign.

The campaign has been the backbone of the marketing strategy for the past years, serving as a key driver of sales in Sweden and Norway.
